I am from South Korea. However, I used be a Korean community delegate for the CFMEU NSW, Construction Division.

As you know, the US launched nuclear weapons attacks over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August, 1945. The attacks killed more 200,000 people, mostly civilians. According to the Korean Victims Association, more than 10 percent of the victims were Korean people.

The nuclear attacks have been causing big pain to victims, their families and societies in Japan and Korea for a long time. Nuclear attacks should never happen again anywhere in the world.

The Korea and the US signed on the Mutual Defense Treaty based on conventional weapons in 1953. However, this year they said it was upgraded to the Treaty nuclear-containing. The US is selling very expensive weapons a lot to Korea. Korea and US are pushing for militarism.

The South Korean Yoon government is welcoming the US strategic assets, the nuclear submarines to enter the Korea. According to the South Korean navy, this year, on 24 July, the USS Annapolis, an nuclear powered submarine entered in South Korea's southern island of Jeju. In the  circumstances, North Korea fired  missiles into the East Sea. This situation is making the Korean peninsula “the most dangerous battleground in the new Cold War”.

With the US at the centre, the US and Japan, the US and Korea, and the US and Australia together have escalated the new Cold War. The new Cold War is coming closer to us. It will be even more terrifying than the Cold War. We Korean activists will join with peace lovers in Australia and around the world to fight against militarism and the new Cold War.

For the sake of peace, we have to do our best to protest Yoon government in Korea.  In Australia, we should our best to stop the AUKUS.
No AUKUS  No Nuclear Weapons
No AUKUS  No Nuclear Weapons

Brothers, Sisters and Comrades.
A Japanese NGO, Friends of the Earth strongly condemns the Japanese government's decision to release Hukushima nuclear wastewater into the sea. Hundreds of anti-nuclear activists in many countries around the world have campaigned for "not dump Hukushima nuclear wastewater in the Pacific Ocean." I believe that building international solidarity is an important action for peace and no-nuclear wastewater in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

Let us fight against the new Cold War.
Let us strengthen International solidarity between the anti-war, anti-nuclear and peace activists to fight against the new cold war and protest dumping Hukushima nuclear wastewater in the our Pacific Ocean, and to protect our Ocean and our Earth.

No Nuclear Weapons  No Dumping Nuclear Wastewater
No Nuclear Weapons  No Dumping Nuclear Wastewater

International Solidarity, Fore Ever! International Solidarity, Fore Ever!

Thank you so much.
